I have been facing some issues of PostMasterMailbox (otrs.PostMasterMailbox.pl) script getting hanged in system due to connection issues or email conflicting with our maximum email size policy. In that case the PostMasterMailbox.pl process keeps hanging around the system and after the next cron a PostMasterMailbox.pl is again initiated. It had taken down my system few times due to processing getting over loaded with multiple PostMasterMailbox.pl processes.
Recently I saw a log entry in OTRS SysLogs as follows
As it seems that OTRS is able to kill hanging PostMasterMailbox processes I want to know how can I configure that time check. I want it to kill any PostMasterMailbox process which is 15 minutes OLD.Tue Sep 20 06:20:02 2011 notice OTRS-PostMasterMailbox.pl-10 Removed PID (PostMasterMailbox/support.sahill.com/20676, because 1 hour old!
