Hello,
in this days we're evaluating to move OTRS from our installation on premises on cloud. Is there a way to export/import without having access to the database? We're evaluating some cloud providers that offers OTRS CE but don't know if we can access to the database as well.
Thanks in advance
Paolo

Hi,
You need access to the database to import the data. If you're using an offered cloud-based OTRS CE doesn't the provider import the data for you?

Re: Migrate OTRS from a machine to another
for now, I've contacted just one provider... don't know but I think they do so, in this case , what have I to give them? a DB backup? a strange thing that came to my mind is that they offer OTRS 7 Community edition, but as I've seen the latest version is 6...

Hey,
You'll need a full backup of the OTRS database and the OTRS installation folder, which is probably placed in /opt/.
What's the name of the provider?
Best regards
Emin
