You should ask sales@otrs.com (And you should post the answer here).

Re: OTRS ITSM CHANGE MANAGEMENT PACKAGE WILL BE DISCONTINUED?
Hi Andre,
I have said that some time ago after I attended a convention with some OTRS executives here in Brazil. They told ITSM Change features would be offered by some predefined processes with some improvements in the process management module. But sorry I have no proof ot that and even some OTRS staff negate all of this. But the real thing is much worst than you think. Some months ago OTRS announced the community version updates would delay 2 years when compared to the commercial version. And just yesterday I was told OTRS will actually discontinue the community version at all, making the version 6 the last community version you will ever get. Of course some OTRS staff will eventually come by and negate it all. But here where I work we are already studing some other alternatives because we can't rely on OTRS anymore.

I don't know who told you this crap. As I'm fully aware of your story and background you should stop to distrubute lies here .
It also seems that you misinterpret "Open Source" with freeware.

Re: OTRS ITSM CHANGE MANAGEMENT PACKAGE WILL BE DISCONTINUED?
Hi jojo,
I'm very sorry this cause such a reaction . But I have no reason to lie. Actually, it's exactly the opposite: I've been working with OTRS for years, helping people to deploy their processes into OTRS. And all of this was bad news for me (personaly), since I was planning to work exclusively with OTRS solutions. So if I'm misinformed, please let me know.
But all I know was said by OTRS staff here in Brazil when attending a OTRS official training, convention etc... So, if it's not the case, would be nice if xxx could explain that. A official blog post would be very nice. But, if it's a lie, why OTRS community edition version 7 was not realeased? And why there isn't even a version 7 branch?
I know what "open source" means. But since most of the community behind this software works for xxx, knowing the community version will not receive updates from xxx anymore (in the future) is the same as knowing the community version will not receive any updates at all. But, again, if I'm misinformed, please let me know. Again, a official blog post would be nice.
And one more thing: in the first case, about the change management, I think it makes completely sense to use process management instead. So would be not a bad news at all

Re: OTRS ITSM CHANGE MANAGEMENT PACKAGE WILL BE DISCONTINUED?
As already offilcially stated there is the plan to release OTRS 7 as community version some years after the main OTRS release. So there will be an ((otrs community edition)) 7 most likely when OTRS 9 will be released.
But keep in mind who takes should give back, I have never seen any contribution from you so far...

I have filled a lot of bugs and proposed some improvements, but none was accepted by you guys. I made a lot of contributions to the Portuguese translation as well in past versions. But clearly you have noticed nothing.
