New Widget on Dashboard

Post by fasiha »

Hi,

I want to create a new widget on dashboard and filter of the basis of new custom state.

I have created the following file namely MyConfig.xml inside Kernel/Config/Files/XML

Code: Select all

<otrs_config version="2.0" init="Application">
<ConfigItem Name="DashboardBackend###0401-TicketInprogress" Required="0" Valid="1">

Parameters for the dashboard backend of the new tickets overview of the agent interface. "Limit" is the number of entries shown by default. "Group" is used to restrict the access to the plugin (e. g. Group: admin;group1;group2;). "Default" determines if the plugin is enabled by default or if the user needs to enable it manually. "CacheTTLLocal" is the cache time in minutes for the plugin.

        <Group>Ticket</Group>
        <SubGroup>Frontend::Agent::Dashboard</SubGroup>
        <Setting>
            <Hash>

Kernel::Output::HTML::DashboardTicketGeneric

Pending Expertflow

All inprogress tickets

StateType=open;States=in progress

All

Age

10

rw

ContentLarge

1

0.5

                    <Hash>

2

1

1

2

1

1

1

1

1

2

1

1

1

1

2

1

1

1

1

2

1

                    </Hash>

            </Hash>
        </Setting>
    </ConfigItem>
</otrs_config>

But nothing changed on the dashboard.Do I need to run the command " perl bin/otrs.Console.pl Maint::Config::Rebuild "? for the changes to become effective?

Thanks

Hey,

Yes, that's correct, you have to execute /opt/otrs/bin/otrs.Console.pl Maint::Config::Rebuild (use the --cleanup option).

But you have to adjust your XML file for version 6. Use this template and make your own changes to it.

Best regards
Emin
