Responding to blocked incoming email.

Post by MichaelR »

Hey,

I have implemented the patch from crythias here: http://forums.otrs.org/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=8753

This works perfectly, but I would like a way to either notify an agent or the sending email address?

There is a reject email function, but it is too global, hence why I will be using this patch. Maybe we can apply parts of it to this?
I don't understand the underlying code enough :(

Cheers,
Michael

That link doesn't appear to point to where your context suggest it might.

Here are the appropriate links:

But yeah, in addition to logging it would be awesome if there was a way to notify someone of this occurence

I don't know what the point is, (you can't do anything about a rejected ticket) and it'd be kind of annoying to get a message every time a spammer got rejected.

However, if you want to try a different tactic, you might want to create a Queue called "Possible Spam" and set the X-OTRS-Queue: http://forums.otrs.org/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=7568
