back up old tickets

am already using otrs and i need to remove some old tickets from the database. is it possible to back up maybe tickets closed like 3 months ago then delete them from the otrs database i suppose using generic agent and in case the info is required i can get the info?

am a nobody in databases.

only via database... (mysqldump, please refer to the Mysql Admin Manual)
