notification not working

Ok I am trying to figure out why the system is not emailing me when there is a new ticket created by a customer? i have the group set to mail my address yet I have created a few test tickets and I don’t receive an email from otrs.. Can someone help?

Did you rea the docu for setting up your STMP Server
"Production": OTRS™ 8, OTRS™ 7, STORM powered by OTRS
"Testing": ((OTRS Community Edition)) and git Master

where is that at? Me and another guy are working with this so I will confirm with him

you should also check that your queue has autoresponses set for new tickets.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Setup:
- http://doc.otrs.org/2.4/en/html/c1572.h ... il-sending (for SMTP settings)
- "Admin" > "Email Addresses"
- "Admin" > "Queues" > "Systemaddress" (for each queue)
Evaluation/pilot: OTRS 2.4.7 on Linux (CentOS 5.4) with MySQL database connected to an Active Directory for Agents and Customers.
