We have 2 (and just two) tickets which keep reopening. They are not receiving new notes from outside or inside.
The only vaguely unusual thing I see on these two tickets is that a specific future escalation time was used (my agents don't typically use that feature).
In the history, I see before the first closure event:
EscalationUpdateTimeStop Escalation update time finished
At the same time every day (just after midnight), in the history, I can see:
Lock Locked Ticket
Misc Reset of unlock Time
StateUpdate From Old: "closed successful" New: "open"
We have no custom generic agents in our set-up. Is there a default daily agent that is triggering these updates?
At this point I'd settle for the table and field name to manually edit any problem fields. But these tickets look like all other tickets.
Thoughts? Clues? Places to look?

1. Admin > Generic Agent ?
2. Sysconfig > Daemon > SchedulerCronTaskManager ***
which can execute script/module
3. Via Webservices?
4. Check system crontab (root/otrs/another user)
