Hi,
We encountered a issue when we received an e-mail which containing an attachment with eml extension.
As far as I understand, the Outlook application automatically converts msg format to eml format, and such an attachment can not be opened or downloaded from OTRS. If I send same attachment from OWA, it's stays on msg format when OTRS fetch him, and it's possible to work with him normally.
Is there a way to get some workaround this issue? Maybe attachment can be renamed when OTRS fetch such emails.
Thanks in advanced.
Cheers,
Sasha

this is an Exchange or Outlook issue not an OTRS issue

Re: EML/MSG Attachment
Hi Jojo,
Sorry, but it's not a issue, it's the way Outlook (Microsoft application) works. OTRS should be tailored to receive various e-mails from the most popular mail client.
I just wondered if there was a way to get around...
Note: I'm not a fan of Microsoft.
Thank you for your time to answer my question/problem.
Kind regards,
Sasha

Re: EML/MSG Attachment
as the Microsoft Standard is not an open statndard this is actually not possible out of the box.
OTRS relies on RFC based standards
