How to close out ticket with timeunit

Post by SYSCOMOTRS »

I would like to add a field on the ticketing system to add or subtract time spent (accounted time or time unit of minutes and hours) on a 15 minute incremental. Does anyone know how they apply this setting? Or does anyone have anything similar where I can apply this setting.

Please feel free to contact me or provide any feedback.

Much appreciated!

Have a wonderful day!

Hi,

This is not possible with add-ons or custom development.

Hi,

AFAIK there is not such a setting with the OTRS Community version.
Please provide a screenshot of the package manager from your version 3.

Hi George,

Looks like there is an unpackaged customization. Do you know anything about that?

Dear Roy,

Which one is the unpackaged customization? I have no idea about this and this is the first time I checked on the package manager on the OTRS version 3.

Hi,

An unpackaged customization is not visible in the package manager, that's why it's named unpackaged.
I suggest contacting an OTRS professional is this is a critical to your business.

Dear Roy,

Thank you for the advice! Much appreciated. However, this is not urgent, but I was wondering do you know any option I can apply on this open source to have time calculated on each ticket an engineer spent on.

Best Regards,
George

Hier George,

That's what the TimeAccounting feature is for. Once enabled you can enter on every screen where you create an article a number,. The sum will be shown in the Ticket Information widget.

Dear Roy,

Thank you for the information. After further investigation, I have found "TimeAccounting" package to be downloaded and installed. I'll be testing this feature and hopefully, it will apply for my company preference.

Best Regards,
George

This enforces an input.
