Hi there,
I'm currently building an OTRS instance in my company.
I already managed it to import all the users from the AD as customer users.
The users belong to different business units and a ticket report should be made per BU.
The BU a user belongs to is mentioned in an AD field.
I saw that i can group customer users by customer.
unfortunately, i would have to do this grouping manually...
As this information is already available on the AD, would it be possible to do this grouping automatically by reading the field in the AD and put every customer user to their correct customer?
Thanks for your help in advance and
Best regards
Tom

Hi,
You can use any field, e.g. department, as the CustomerID when working with an Active Directory. Configure the setting CustomerID and UserCustomerID (in the mapping) accordingly
