Dear everybody,
I explain the situation :
I configure and install OTRS CMDB, and manage to import data from OCS-Inventory. So for the moment, i have more or less 300 computers in this CMDB.
I heard that doing such import, we can loose the control of the database. Therefore, when a new computer is configured, the agent add it in the cmdb, with only the name of it. Then, the import script is there to update the field.
But what I want to do, is when I run this import script to update the field, I don't want a new CI created. Is there a way to avoid creating new CI after first fill in ? (Like a read only flag ?)
I understand my request is not so easy to understand, so don't hesitate to ask if you didn't understand, i'll try to explain more clearly.
Thanks a lot

hey,
you mut define a key-value in the import.
That is checked and the found ci will be updated.
if nothing is found an new CI will be created.
fqdn, mac, are good key-fields
