When i tried migrating from OTRS 3.1.11 to the new 3.2, i came upon the discovery that suddenly all my dynamic fields which i use on my tickets were gone! They did not exist any more!
Is there a work around for this?

where are they missing? In the database or n the frontend? Did you take your sysconfig settings (Kernel/Config/Files/ZZZAuto.pm) with you?
