Server Error 500...Please help me out

Post by shoaib »

Hi

I am using OTRS 3.1 & facing some problem, I have successfully installed it & tested it on one system assigned for this software. It was working well but I was not able to make the responses autonomous.

Also, when I configured OTRS 3.1 on the server which was already having the loads of other applications & after creating about 20-25 agents that time it was not responding to any query which we sent internally for our testing purpose. When multiple agents logged in simultaneously, every time it generates the error message showing 'Server Error 500' because of which we are not able to respond to any of the query asked.

I am getting below Error:
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://192.168.101.53/otrs/index.pl. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly .
HTTP error 500(Internal Server Error). An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
Do OTRS requires requires an isolated server?

Can anybody please help me out?

Regards Shoaib

have a look in the apache error log. OTRS should run on a dedicated server
"Production": OTRS™ 8, OTRS™ 7, STORM powered by OTRS
"Testing": ((OTRS Community Edition)) and git Master

Hi

i have checked the e-mail configuration & saw the error log of server where I got the following error
OTRS-otrs.PostMasterMailbox.pl-10[4196]: [Error][Kernel :System::MailAccount::IMAP::_Fetch][Line:127]: IMAP: Can't connect to imap.gmail .com
SELinux was also disable so I first enabled it & then disabled it again following up restart of the server but still the mail is not transferable & I am getting the same error message as earlier

Please help me to resolve the problem ASAP.

Thanks&Regards

ask your firewall admin for help, as the error states: Can't connect to imap.gmail .com
"Production": OTRS™ 8, OTRS™ 7, STORM powered by OTRS
"Testing": ((OTRS Community Edition)) and git Master

Hello

Thank You so much for suggestion!

I have checked the connection between our server & GMAIL using TELNET, it showed successful connection has been established.

Also, the process ID is not being generated in the server.

Configured it on IMAPS now, but the same problem is reporting.

Thanks&Regards

Standard IMAP is going to connect on 143 IMAPS is going to connect on 993, which is gmail config:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Requires SSL:Yes

BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU USE IMAP. OTRS WILL GRAB AND DELETE ALL THE EMAIL.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.

Hi

If I am not wrong then these are the configuration which I need to do in PERL, but for your information I am not aware of PERL.

Please suggest some other methods to do the configuration if possible.

Thanks&Regards
