Re: OTRS on VMWare
I have it running on VMWare
Performance OK with the usual drackbracks on running a database in VMWare
the integrated OTRS performance measuring are never quite happy, but we are running this system with 12000 Tickets in 1,5 year now
(mysql) Database is 8GB
hope that helps

Re: OTRS on VMWare
nothing special for OTRS - usual VMware performance optimization (no outdated VMWare tools, VMWare network drivers, ...)

Re: OTRS on VMWare
We are running 3.0.4 on Windows 2008 in VMWare. Runs performance isn't great, but I can't compare since I haven't run it on physical hardware. The only problem we really see, is that SysConfig access is VERY SLOW. From the user perspective, it responds reasonable for an internally hosted web app.chetannagaonkar wrote:Hello All,

I agree with other remarks...follow best practice for VMware, and you should be fine.

Re: OTRS on VMWare
To avoid misunderstanding : This is not caused by the virtualization, is it ? AFAIK SysConfig is always slow.ksbuchanan wrote:chetannagaonkar wrote:The only problem we really see, is that SysConfig access is VERY SLOW.

Re: OTRS on VMWare
On virtual plattforms ssconfig is in most cases extremly slow (depending on the virtualisation plattform) compared to a pysical box
