Save incoming Email address

Post by fullhouse »

Hello,

I'm thinking about setting up otrs as a b2c mailing system. Is there any way to store the incoming email addresses?

Like once a new email address is coming in it is automatically stored as a customer user?

Hi,

AFAIK this is not possible without the use of the local webservice and/or rpc interface.
... so you can wait for developper specialists here :-)

But: ask yourself if this is a good idea. You should have a good customer record - not the mail address only.
And - if you are in europa - you might consider GPDR compliance as well.

    Thanks for the reply wurzel.
Does anyone else have any experience in this? Is there a way to automatically save all incoming mails as customer users?

    Hi,

As already said: that needs development.
