We are getting numerous errors in the system log:
Mon Feb 18 09:44:17 2019 (America/Denver) error OTRS-CGI-10 Need User or UserID!
Mon Feb 18 09:44:17 2019 (America/Denver) error OTRS-CGI-10 Need UserLogin or UserID!

Have no idea what's causing them - Checking the HTTPD error_log, I find:
ERROR: OTRS-CGI-10 Perl: 5.16.3 OS: linux Time: Mon Feb 18 09:38:16 2019

Message: Need User or UserID!

RemoteAddress: ##.##.##.## (IP listed is always the Load Balancer machine - so can't track to originating PC)

We have made no customizations to TicketGeneric.pm or .tt, nor any changes to AgentDashboardCommon.

If anyone has any ideas where to start the search or what to look for, would be greatly appreciated.

Possibly you disabled the admin otrs account, or an account with an ID that runs periodically but is invalid anymore.
OTRS 6.0.x (private/testing/public) on Linux with MySQL database.
