German umlauts displayed wrong on ticket screen

We are using OTRS 5.
German umlauts are getting incorrectly displayed on the screen. For e.g. for solved status it shows garbage characters in place of ö for the word gelöst.
The translations are correct in the files but there is some issue with the display.
Any way to solve this?
