Controlling which Dynamic Fields are visible on 'ViewNote'

We have two template styles. Each group represented has Dynamic Fields they would like editable on the ViewNote panel. However, neither wishes to see the other group's fields.

I've been looking at ACLs to control which Dynamic Fields are visible based on ticket type but am not having any success.

Does anyone have an idea of how to manage this (assuming it's possible at all)?

As a simple example - - when adding a Note, Group_1 (Ticket Type 'Incident') wishes to have Dynamic Fields 'Author' and 'Publisher' present. Group_2 (Ticket Type 'Service Request') wants fields 'Serial Number' and 'Quantity' shown.

Could you show how did you try with acl to check where can be the problem? I think with acl it is possible.

with OTRS Free or ((OTRS)) Community Edition it is not posibble out of the box.

You need to

• code (Javascript?)

• get a (commercial) feature
