Fetching Email

Need help. I cant find where the problem is and where to fix it. Some emails that are sent to our PostMaster email were missing and not creating ticket on the otrs. The missing of emails is at random, It happens rarely but its kinda disturbing. My question is where should i fix this? Thanks in advan...

I think the problem is on my backup file.

i used the script provided in the manual
./backup.pl -d /backup
Is is possible that some information and data on the databases were lost in the process?

Ok my bad. Thanks for the reply.
The error is now gone but I still cant log in. the database is populated with correct information but I still cant log in using agents that is saved on the database. How can i fix this? thanks.

Hi,

When a customer creates ticket (on customer portal) I want it to be on a specific queue,
I tried ACL but that prevent me from transferring tickets to diff. queues.

I suggest creating ACL.
That's what I did.

Match - Ticket - State - Close
Possible Not - Ticket - State - *All states except Close.

or

Match - Ticket - State - Close

Possible - Ticket - State - Close

I think both will work for you, but i suggest the 2nd one.

Where do I check my logs? BTW, we previously used OTRS 5.0.3 and now we are using the latest i just did what i did before but mail is not working for some reason. No log on system log about the mail error.

OTRS can fetch email and create tickets but i cant send email. no email sent from otrs, no notifications, replies, email outbound, and no admin notifcation sent too.

I got an error when i install otrs via web installer it says

Code: Select all

unknown mysql server host 'otrsdb' (1)
otrsdb is the hostname.

OTRS and DB on different servers

Hi all,

How can I install OTRS on Server1 and its Database is on different server (Server2). Noob here. I done some research but I still cant figure out how to do it. My otrs will be installed in server1 ip add 192.168.x.1 and otrsdb will be on 192.168.x.2.

Hi all,

When I reply to a ticket via template I want my CC field to be populated automatically.
Example I reply on a ticket using Template A my Team Lead and Supervisor will be added on the CC recipients automatically.
Is that possible if my only basis is the Roles?
