.wav file attachments being named to unknown in Znuny

Post by RichH »

Znuny 6.4
CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009
MariaDB 5.5.68
Perl 5.16.3

Hi,

Voice mail files (VoiceMessage.wav) fetched as attachment to emails are being renamed to 'unknown' in Znuny. We recently migrated the mailbox to Exchange Online and OAuth2 authentication. All other type of attachments are O.K.

When I stop fetching and view a Voicemail in the Outlook mailbox, it shows that attachment name as 'VoiceMessage.wav'.

In the Znuny communications log it shows:

23 Kernel::System::PostMaster::NewTicket Content-Disposition: inline; filename=VoiceMessage.wav; voice=Voice-Message
24 Kernel::System::PostMaster::NewTicket Content-Type: audio/wav; name=VoiceMessage.wav

However, when I view the article in the file system it shows:

# ls -l
total 252
-rw-rw---- 1 apache apache 145973 May 12 15:47 plain.txt
-rw-rw---- 1 apache apache 106058 May 12 15:47 unknown
-rw-rw---- 1 apache apache 32 May 12 15:47 unknown.content_type

# cat unknown.content_type
audio/wav; name=VoiceMessage.wav

Any idea why this is being renamed to 'unknown'?

As always, your help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi,

Any chance you can share a little bit more from the communication log?

Hi,

I can't find the Communication log in text form on the server itself. Where is it located?

This is a cut & Paste from the Znuny web interface, with my ID information removed. Does this help?

So far I've found that this issue began when we switched from fetching mail via POPTLS from our Exchange OnPremise server to fetching via IMAPTLS/OAuth2 from the Exchange Online server.

Hi,

Do you still have the on-premise server available for a test account? Since the PostMaster filter is not related to the email protocol or authentication type, my guess is then it's server related.

Could you provide a test email for debugging? If yes, please contact me via PM.
