Hello everyone!
So we added a new catalog class added that in an config item class.
Since we have over 4000 itmes in that config item class alone which I have to adjust I would like to export all items into a CSV-File with the new mapping elemt I created.
The problem is, even if I add the required mapping element, and import the previous exported CSV-File which I adjusted, it never updates the CMDB item itself, it creates a new one. Even when I export a single item and import it again without doing any changes, it still creates a new one.
I don't want to create new ones when I export a CSV-File, I just want to update all items through importing, so that I don't have to touch every single item, which would take a really long time itself.
I'm quite new to OTRS and I would really appreaciate some help
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Don't worry. You should just edit your import/export template and choose a field with unique values to act as an identification. Maybe the name field.
