would like to figure out why sometimes the emailed tickets take up to 45 minutes to come in.
I noticed sometimes I can tell the account to fetch email and it does right away. sometimes when I tell it to fetch email it gives me an authentication error. is the authentication error what is causing our issue?
I am out of ideas.
Appreciate any help.

Did you check logfiles on the mail server? Did you check DNS? Are there any messages in the OTRS log?
