Text box on Customer interface

Hello,

There is a text box under the Subject line ( it is label as Text:) when customer selects a new ticket. I am not sure the purpose of it, but how can I remove it? I went through all customer's HTML file, css, Sysconfiguration but can't find any reference to it.

It is version 3.0.8 on Ubuntu 9.10. I have a print screen & attache it here.

can you view source on the rendered web page and find the html markup for that button?

Thank you for your reply.I found the answer to the my issue. I commented out related lines in the 'customerticketmessage.dtl' and problem was resolved.
