[Solved]/otrs/installer.pl was not found

Postby nhughes » 18 May 2017, 21:19

Hello all,

I have installed OTRS 5.0.19-02 on my CentOS 7 box. Here are some images of statuses.

Daemon:

modules:

My mariadb is also running. I can go to 'localhost' and see the confirmation page showing apache is working. Then when I try to navigate out to localhost/otrs/installer.pl I am greeted with an error screen.

Could anyone point me in the right direction here? Also, I am interested in what exactly is going wrong - since I have followed the OTRS install guide.

Thank you in advance for offering assistance to a new guy. :)

Hey,

what error message are you getting?
Check your firewall, file permissions and your SELinux status.

Edit: Nevermind, just saw it in the title. It should be /otrs/installer.pl and not /otrs.installer.pl. Also check if /etc/httpd/conf.d/zzz_otrs.conf is correctly linked.
Good Luck

Also take a look at the apache error / access log if they tell you something.
Currently using: OTRS 5.0.14 -- MariaDB -- Ubuntu 16 LTS

I was able to get /otrs/installer.pl running! thank you for your input.

During the installer, I am experiencing an issue with mariadb blocking my authentication.

Could anyone help me understand what I need to do to allow authentication? also, I'd like to configure windows AD authentication. Is there a detailed guide to configure this?

I deeply thank you for taking time to offer help 8)

Hello,
Is your MariaDB database local to your OTRS system or remote to another system?
If your db is remote you should check if root connection to your remote db is allowed or disabled.
You may check something here: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb/confi ... nt-access/

On the other hand there could also be a firewall between OTRS and your db ... did you check it with a telnet on 3306 TCP ?
OTRS 5.0.x on CentOS 6.9 with MySQL 5.6 database connected to an Active Directory for Agents and Customers.
ITSM and FAQ modules installed.
