Request for Official Guide Update

Post by blake86 »

I wanted to point out an important update to be made to the official guide (Znuny Relases) to allow the first installation (tested on Debian 12), which made me waste a lot of time.

Without taking inspiration from the LTS guide I wouldn't have succeeded...

In fact, after creating the database, the platform was not available for consultation ( http://XXXX/znuny/index.pl )

Hi,

it would really help to understand what you are doing before we update the docs.
- You seem to work on Redhat/ Centos (based on your suggestion in the screenshot)
-- Is SELinux active?
- Are you performing an update or a fresh install?
- If it is an update, from which version you like to upgrade?
- Did you ran the update script?
- Have you updated the apache config?
- Is there an error in the apache log?

Regards

Hi Johannes,
- my SO is Debian12 stock.
- SELinux is not installed
- is a new install for test
- apache is installed and updated (is a new fresh VM)

without the precautions above and not knowing what requirements are missing to start the instance with CheckModules.pl, after creating the database and accessing index.pl an error appears which now I can't get you to see.

you can also try by trying to follow the guide for debian 12 and then realize that the platform doesn't work.

Thanks for the update. So it is running and you are good to go?

So it is/was just the missing CheckModules or is there anything you discovered on your way?

The repo is public, we can fix it there.
