hi,
i've a question.
in some cases it happens that otrs's log give this type of message:
IMAPS: Can't fetch email 2 from xxxx@xxxxx.com/imap.xxxxx.com. Email too big (30118 KB - max 25600 KB)
We have configured rsyslog to send mail if this event occour, to me and other admins.
The problem is that original sender doesn't know that the email has not been processed by otrs.
is there is the possibility for otrs to send a warning email to senders?
(even with a prefixed text)
sorry for my bad english.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Emanuele,
you can also change the maximum size of emails to fetch in the SysConfig, in case you didn't know:
Ticket → Core::PostMaster###PostMasterMaxEmailSize
Best Regards

Re: Notification on "Email too big"
The easiest way would be to configure the same MaxEmailSize on the mailserver as on otrs, so that the mail doesn't even get fetched by otrs.
Also, as zzz said, you can easily change the MaxEmailSize of otrs in sysconfig.

Re: Notification on "Email too big"
First of all, thank for yours time.
About MaxEmailSize I knew it.
I use that for allow (eventually) the emails that OTRS blocks.
Unfortunately, our company use google's accounts "enterprise", that for what I know
don't allow to change the limit for email size.
So the limit currently is 25MB.
And this value is too high.
For the moment, if there isn't any other solution, i'll use the same MaxEmailSize value of the "google account" on otrs.
tnks again
