Hey.
Im looking to make a new OTRS Server since our old is broken down. And with that im looking to try and do it with best practice in mind.

So what is the best practice for the Linux distributions?
And do ppl recommend sticking to the OTRS5 or go with the new OTRS6?
And since this is my first time setting it up i would like to now if there is some pitfalls i should be looking for with it?

All help is appreciated :p

Hi,

use the linux you know the best
use the latest OTRS version available
then test, test, test, test, test.... :-)

in summary:
avoid redundancies
don't build customer related queues, don't build personal queues. At least, this is a good start.

or get professional help to avoid failures.

setting up OTRS is easy for a technical guy. Setting up OTRS for your organisation can be tricky and professional guidance might help to get results fast.
