OTRS 5 Upgrade with Navigation Menu Issue & NVD3 Core.UI.AdvancedChart Error

Post by BenI »

Good day,

We are running OTRS 5.0.17 with KIX4OTRS 8.0.12 after upgrading from OTRS 4.

We have a couple of issues:
1. The navigation items are unclickable from the dashboard. To navigate, you need to manually enter url for example ?Action=Admin, then only will navigation items be clickable.
2. When you login, the following error message greets you

Code: Select all

Namespace Core.UI.AdvancedChart could not be initialized, because nvd3 could not be found
I meticolously followed all the steps and deleted the cache, rebuild the configurations but to no avail.

Your assistance is required. What else can we look at?

Regards,

Hi,

I suggest this error occurs in the IE, disable compatibility mode and you're done

It is generated in all the browsers, Firefox & Chrome. Or will disabling it in IE do the same for firefox and chrome?

Ok, compatibility mode is only available in the IE. Double check your SysConfig regarding the module registrations.

I noticed quite the same behaviour when I upgrade from v5.0.10 to v5.0.19 on my Fedora server, but the navigation menu issue appeared only on the TicketZoom page.

None of the item was clickable but all was working well with right-click (opening in a new tab). Same behaviour on all browsers.
I haven't found yet a solution.

Can you open the links with a right-click or are the navigation menu items still unavailable ?

It is exactly the same behaviour, I have to either right click and open a new tab or type the full url to where I would like to navigate.

Just an update on this post.

We upgraded to OTRS & ITSM 5.0.19, also now running KIXCore 5.0.12 and KIX4OTRS 8.0.13.

The navigation issue is still there. When you logon to the dashboard and click a navigation menu with dropdown menu items, they appear but when you click the item there is no response. When you click a menu item like Admin nothing happens. I have to manually type in the url or right-click and open the url in new tab and then only can you click on the navigation menu items.

The NVD3 error is still generating.

We cannot upgrade to OTRS 5.0.20 just yet due to KIX compatability requirements.

This is a pain in the neck, how can it be resolved?

Did you delete caches? (Browsercache and server side cache)?

Same problem here after updating from 5.0.14 to 5.0.26.
Links open with a right-click -> open link, but not with a left-click in chrome, vivaldi, edge.
Deleted Cache already, did someone fix this?

Fixed my problem by adding the three entries from this thread to AgentTicketZoom
