how to set up notification event based on escalation

I know otrs have feature to send notification based on some event. And now I want to use it to send notification to supervisor when ticket escalation solution time is reached. But i see there are three option on escalation solution event.
  • EscalationSolutionTimeNotifyBefore
  • EscalationSolutionTimeStart
  • EscalationSolutionTimeStop
I know when EscalationSolutionTimeNotifyBefore is happen, but not clear for me when two other option happen. even i dont know if the escalation time on ticket can stop.
