Upgrade OTRS 3.0.10 to 3.1.1 Windows install

Post by thunter0028 »

I have recently attempted an upgrade from OTRS 3.1.10 to 3.1.1. Following the steps to back up the database, copy config files, uninstall 3.0.10, install 3.1.1, upload database, upgrade database structure to 3.1, copy config files to new version, run perl scripts rebuildconfig.pl and deletecache.pl., then starting the new install and it "seems" to work fine. The problem I run into is when I am replying to a ticket using one of our customer templates, it gives an error of "Object doesn't support property or method 'AddTicketCustomer'. Even if I fill in the To: field manually, it still does not allow me to send the reply. I attached a screen shot of the error. Has anyone else run into this?

Did you happen to copy your 3.0.10 var folder on top of the 3.1.1 var?
I ran into this same issue when copying outdated js files from my 3.0 var folder.

Well there's your problem. :)
I resolved my issue by not copying the old var folder over at all and then taking any custom images or items from the old folder and moving them manually.

You may be able to fix your issue by downloading the 3.1.1 source zip and replacing your current var folder with the one in the zip.
