I read the admin manual in the section about the architecture overview but is not clear!

I'd like to know more precisely what the WEb-fronted Handles, the Web-Fronted Modules do.
Core Modules are important for logical work, but how they exactly work and how they interface with other modules?
What are CMD Fronted, how they work?
