Access to modify roles

Post by trudolph »

Hi All,

I’m looking for a way to allow a non-admin Agents access to modify the members of one particular Role. Currently all my agents are able to login and they get placed in to the default users group. We’d like to give our managers for each service area access to specify which agents belong to their particular area by adding them to an additional role.

I messed around with giving the manager’s role access to Frontend::Module###AdminRoleUser which did give them the ability to modify role memberships. The problem is it gives them access to modify any of the roles including admin.

So is it possible to allow an agent user access to modify the membership of only one particular role?

Thanks in advance!

I’m running OTRS 3.0.10 on Windows IIS7/MSSQL. Agents and Customer are LDAP (Active Directory) backend.

Thanks for the reply. I'm assuming its the same case for groups instead of roles?

You could get someone to hard code it in there? :)
