Founding of the OTRS Community Board (OCB)

Dear community members,

today we announce the foundation of the OTRS Community Board (OCB).

The OCB is a committee of community members with the following responsibilities :

- internal organization of the community
- infrastructure of the community
- communication within the community
- communication with companies supporting the community
- communication with the OTRS company group

The goal of the establishment of a community board is the evolution of the current community to an active, independent and self-governing community. The OCB will be regularly elected by the OTRS community members.

The founders of the OCB 2011 have the special task to create the charter of the OCB, to extend the OCB by representatives of the national OTRS communities and to conduct an election before December 31st, 2012.

Special thanks go to Shawn Beasley, the community manager of the OTRS company group, for creating the OCB idea together with us. Special thanks go also to the team of the first and second OTRS community meeting (OCM 2), who helped us behind the scenes.
