and move the data to filesystem to shrink your data size in the db.

the checker is a regexp. So "normal.regular@email.com" triggers everything.
You have to play around like ^normal\.regular@email\.com

Soviel kann ich Dir mal sagen. die DB hat einen auto increment auf die TicketID also wird OTRS die Ticket ID einfach hochzählen, bzw. die Datenbank wird die id erstellen. Hat mich schon mal in den Wahnsinn getrieben (nicht ganz! aber fast)
Kannste in der sysconfig abschalten.

I do not know a solution for not showing the time zone in brackets - I think you are refering to this output.
I do not know why developpers use a bracket + time zone in a field type DATE. This is just bad.

actually the docs do not show how to transfer your (backup-) files/database from one host to another.
It is a generic documentation and you should adapt it to your needs.
Backup/Restore is mentioned in the docs as well.

first task is "lock the ticket" which means "assign to myself, I am going to work on it"
Some functions (see post from jojo) usually get an autolock of the ticket.

LDAP with more than 5000 should not be an issue.
700 is quite few.
Check if all ports to server are open
Check if the correct LDAP Server is queried (maybe Load balancer issue?)
Check if the DNS is working fast
Check CacheTTL Settings in your Config.pm and increase it, if needed.

these are webserver and mysql settings. Not OTRS related.
You have to change your mysqld and apached settings. OTRS will use this.
Maybe connection settings in Config.pm for the mysql setting must be changed. Depends on your local socket settings.
