How to identify 'State' in SystemMonitoring?
Hi all, I'm trying the SystemMonitoring addon to get around a problem with an external system that sends automated e-mail notifications into OTRS. What I hope to accomplish is to add these new tickets that miss an OTRS-x-header and 'merge' them to the same ticket. All of these e-mails each have * a ...

Multiple sessions makes OTRS sluggish
I'm posting this in 'Errors' as I consider this to be more of an error than a configuration question. We are running OTRS in production since summer 2012 and except for some prestanda issues it has worked perfectly. I have been troubleshooting and elimiating each prestanda error one by one, but ther...

Auto-merge - search in subject/raw does not seem to work?
We need to find a way to auto-merge incoming new e-mails (which are each assigned new ticket-ID's by OTRS) from another ticket-tracking system. For these incoming tickets, they have all the same sender (noreply@othersystem.org) and a ticketnumber in the subject and also in the body. The subject has ...

Re: How to Upgrade OTRS from 3.0 to 3.1 on WINDOWS!
Thank you, this was very helpful! I have been reluctant to upgrade until I had some more information about that and you did a very fine job! One question to this - does anyone have experience from a similar 3.0.x upgrade to a later version using MSSQL instead of MySQL? Is there anything particular t...

Re: Carp.pm reboots apache
I have had the same problem with OTRS 3.0.10 and have done some research. It seems that except from copying libmysql.dll to system32 I also had to adjust the MaxRequestPerChild value from 0 (unlimited) to something more controlled in order to prevent memory leak in Apache. We're on a very small scal...

Longer subject/From information in small ticket overview?
Hi all, This is a question for 3.0.10. I would like to make the from/subject longer in the agent small ticket overview. As it is now, the sender name and subject for e-mail correspondance is truncated which isn't very helpful as we prefer to see the whole subject and/or sender address or at least mo...

Need some help configuring queues and tickets...
I'm new to OTRS and are currently settings this up to replace our existing support system that is stoneage by now. As I am not very familiar with Perl and my time is precious (doing this on an already hard-stressed scheme when running the normal support at the same time) I would like to ask for some...

Re: 302: document moved issue at first logon
Just wanted to post how I solved this - or not really solved, but worked around; 1. Did a local installation on my personal laptop, using the Windows installation package. 2. Configured OTRS to use the already existing MsSQL DB. 3. Fired OTRS up and checked everything worked 4. Uninstalled the IIS s...

Re: 302: document moved issue at first logon
It seems the redirect comes from index.html in the htdocs-folder. However, when I alter it (in any way) it doesn't have any impact which makes me believe IIS just doen't care about the redirect in the code and does this on its own... Any ideas/hints/tips would be most welcome - I'm really stuck here...

302: document moved issue at first logon
Hi all, I'm new to OTRS and are currently setting 2.4.11 up in an Win/IIS6/MSSQL environment. I have got everything up and running technically, by following the instructions at http://blog.afsharm.com/2009/03/installing-otrs-active-perl-on-windows.html. When I now try to log on as root for the first...
