Latest version of OTRS is 6.0.4 which requires at least PERL 5.16. So for the server OS you should switch to the latest version of CentOS also. As you missed out several updates including mahor security patchlevels for your version also you might even consider a fully managed version without any str...

This is typically is a ldap issue (search in the forums). Please also update to the latest patchlevel of your version (due to a huge amount of security issues) or much better to the latest stable version of OTRS (version 6)

first of all, stay with the lastest patch level....

Also I implemented on my own system 2 factor authentification and a reverse proxy which does the SSL offloading. SSH ist only available via VPN

Thats the CGI which is started by the Webserver, so everything is OK.

It seems that your system has not enought resources to operate correctly. Also 3.3. is unsecure and not mantained any more.

it is not secure as we as vendor and producer are not creating any patches for OTRS 3.3. neither does the Debian project.

Eine der "blödesten" Aussagen im Bereich der Sicherheit. Ein Großteil der Angriffe kommt von Innen bzw. wird über valide Benutzer durchgeführt. Eine Suche nach CrossSite Scripting etc hilft hier schon mal ;-)

Viele Sicherheitslücken lassen sich per E-Mail ausnutzen

FYI... RESOLVED: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3025138/users-cannot-connect-to-pop3-or-imap4-on-exchange-server-2013-or-excha Apparently, after an Exchange cumulative update, the PopProxy status was set to "Inactive" thus caused this issue. Manually activating it resumed my POP...

You might contact the vendor of the appliance, but as fas as I know there is no active maintenance on any of the appliances which were available. I assume that some things were changed on the mailserver, so the old and outdated version of OTRS which you are using can not connect any more.

So the best way to solve the issue is to migrate to a newer and supported version of OTRS. Actual version is OTRS 6.0.3

set up a local MTA e..g postfix on the OTRS server. install also procmail.

On you main server create a rule how to reach the otrs server e.g. @otrs.yourdomain.example -> IP of otrs server

Set the wanted address to be an alias e.g. support@yourdomain.example -> otrs@otrsyourdomain.example
